2-Day National Conference on Techno-Traditional Indian Knowledge Systems for Eco-Sensitive Coastal Settlement Planning

The Proposed National Conference on "Techno-Traditional Indian Knowledge Systems for Eco-Sensitive Coastal Settlement Planning" organized by SPAV (School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada) and ITPI (Institute of Town Planners, India), aims to integrate modern technology with ancient wisdom for coastal zone management. It will address sustainable coastal development by blending traditional methodologies like Vastu Shastra and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) with digital mapping, GIS and early warning systems. The event will focus on ecological balance, resource sustainability and climate resilience featuring discussions on restoring traditional methods for disaster preparedness and sustainable livelihoods. Participants will explore the synergy between technology and traditional wisdom through case studies and collaborative discussions.
